I don't see it working with "current system limitations." To apply a simple fix they take servers down for like 2-3hrs in NA prime time. I'd suspect the same thing would happen for primal fights even if it does appear and should be a simple thing to add.

100% no, increased drop rates for tapers and nuts, hell yes.

I've still not gotten the one weapon i want, now have i gotten the tapers or nuts to purchase them, it will suck to get almost there but fail, but im also ok with it, I'm going for a relic after all and not spending my time with endless primal runs.
