That's not necessarily to say the official trailers are light years better, but to claim the fans can make a better trailer, without showing a better example doesn't make any sense.

And to a lesser extent, beep.

But on a whole, I agree. Almost anyone can take a bunch of cutscenes, throw them together, and match it to music. Takes another degree of patience, timing, and work to include actual in-game footage inbetween any cutscenes you might be using, and I couldn't imagine making a video (as terrible as they might be) without it.
Possible double-post, but these are definitely better than the OP's examples.

Although to me, from a trailer standpoint, pacing felt a little slow, and even though there was gameplay shown, those segments didn't look much different than the cinematics; they mainly showed off fancy animation, instead of actual gameplay mechanics. The whole thing also felt a little long to me, and the series of shots felt a little disconnected. It didn't give me much sense of what the game was about.

Again, I'm not saying the official trailers are any better; just putting a little critique out there. And also, this is just one person's opinion, so take that as you will.

Awesome cos-playing and modeling but take out and replace the CGI movie scenes with in-game action, it would've been perfect!

Then I realize I seen so many fantastic video's produced by fans over the years, such as

I really dig this. It has all the elements SE should be including in theirs'.
