We also have Berserk. I believe Ingolf is just listing what these effects did in other games

I am confident some of these will come once LV-cap raises. We still miss a lot of spells/statuses/actions I think.... they cannot give them all out right now cause there would be no more to give after lv-cap raise.
wow.... Someone actually posted constructively, I've been seeing a lot of this... I hope the positive continues...
As a whm I will hate this... As a fan I would love it >_< so divided

We already have a version of amnesia (pacification), and things like Charm and Confusion would never work in this kind of game, as you are not FORCED to input commands, nor do you even need to stand within range to inadvertently attack an ally. The only way I could see that they would implement confusion, would be to make it so it jumbles up your controls (EI, up makes you go left, you hit skill key 1, it throws skill key 4), however this would just make people stop doing ANYTHING until their confusion was gone, and would make it equivalent to petrify, and therefore redundant.
Charm exists in FFXI - you can see it happen all the time in Besieged. The server just takes control of your Character and it begins to attack your allies (they can attack you as well).We already have a version of amnesia (pacification), and things like Charm and Confusion would never work in this kind of game, as you are not FORCED to input commands, nor do you even need to stand within range to inadvertently attack an ally. So yeah, it wouldn't be difficult at all to implement it in FFXIV.
I still remember battles in FF6 that is easier if you let your whole party remain zombied.
Death => Raise
Cure => Damage
Unholy magic => Cure
