    On top of that, there's also the limitations of the engine itself. How many times have players asked for a feature to be added, only for the devs to respond, "The engine won't really let us do that. . ." Reworking everything from the ground up was definitely the right thing to do.

    But then they tell us they cant do some animations because of their engine, a little silly I would say. (Otherwise I completely agree with you :P lol)

    They didn't say that at all. They said they didn't want to use the animations, which I think is worse.

    For all the upgrades we're getting, I think they've earned a little slack. There's huge discussions over one or two "downgrades" which is debatable at best but no one's talking about all the good they're doing.

    If they think that shifting their focus from one area to another at the cost of a "downgrade" is what they want to do, then that's what they're going to do. They have more riding on the success of this game than anyone else so don't think they make such decisions lightly.

    2.0 IS going to be a completely different game though. People are going to have to re-evaluate if it's really the game they want to play. For me, from the looks of it so far it's the best thing I've seen on the market in years. Not that that's really saying much since most of the MMO releases in recent years have been mediocre at best.

    You meant that the animations are limited because they wanted more responsive movement right? Or do you not know the difference between a graphics engine and a gameplay mechanic?

    You totally skipped over everything written here. First in my own post I said "its a little silly", and if you ever read the animation hate thread you would know that I have made animations/movement engines.

    You dont need to tell me they aren't related. I think its crap SE got rid of them.
