Gil For Crysta ( Idea )

Well, since crysta is only used to buy game time (at the moment), I can see this working out and not breaking the game. It could be similar to EVE's PLEX system.

The only thing that I can think of that would deter it is the fact that the gil cap is so low, and supposedly easy to reach.

I thought you meant get gil in game and trade it for crysta. As in, pay for 1 month in subscription fees, then take the ton of gil you made in that month and have it turned in crysta, using that to pay for your subscription instead of using RL money. XD

Naw, no company would do a direct ingame currency to subscription trade like that, as it effectively nets them zero income. Actual money has to be in the equation, as gil is worthless to SE.

Why don't you actually try to articulate why you think the con out-weights the pros?

The PLEX and other similar system isn't going to work for every MMO, but at least try to put some intelligent thoughts into the hows and whys before you default into the relatively thought-less and automatic "omgz cash = rmt = p2w = the end of the world!!!" response.
