Dawn Drops was the same thing as Chocobo Blinkering

NPCing Dawn drops in FFXIV is the exact same thing as NPCing Chocobo Blinkers in FFXI. People convert their curor from abyssea exp parties and voidwatch pts to millions and millions of gil by buying Chocobo Blinkers and npcing them for gil, and yet they still let this slide for the past 2 years in FFXI. So why are dawn drops nerfed when the same think is let slide in FFXI?

The fact that they made abyssea should tell you that they stopped caring about FFXI.

FYI they didn't "let it slide" they're working on other priorities as unlike in this game, you rarely have a use for gil in XI atm outside of relic/mythic or empyrean if you're lazy.

Chocobo Blinkers drained your cruor pretty fast. I think the conversion was 200k cruor = 500k gil. Here, 3k seals (used to)= 250k gil, and you could make around 9k seals an hour if you were lucky (14k if you were super lucky).

Don't equate them, because they're not very similar.

Blinkers drained cruor fast, but you could get it very fast, especially if you were specifically farming cruor.

Not to mention you have other factors in Abyssea versus this atm:

    1. You have 30 minutes initially.
    2. You have to build time.
    3. You have to build chains along with lights.
    4. You need to buy keys which drains your curor even quicker.
    5. ???
    6. Sit on your empty inventory (assuming already capped) and get blinkers.
    7. Rinse and Repeat.
    8. Profit.

In XIV for the Seal > Gil you need to:

    1. Do a few easy quests to join GC if you haven't
    2. Get to an Atomos fight clu-camp.
    3. Sit on your ass and let people kill him and hope you don't die.
    4. Procure your first cluster and crystals hopefully.
    5. Return to HQ, start trading.
    6. Repeat.

The difference here is, with the Curor > Gil method you have a lot of hurdles to get over which is why SE isn't making it a priorty because in all reality it actually balances itself out...in XIV though? You were printing it for almost no work if there's enough people per camp.

What about Abyssea leeches? those didnt have much work either and had profit. The same happened at Atomos, some did have to fight/die at it for the leechers. I dont think there's much comparison about Atomos to Abyssea tbh... 2 really diferent things.
