ITT: You're just ignoring anything but how the "printed gil" affects things. You're not thinking of anything else.
k.........
LOL rich people aren't farming atomos, that is for plebes.
Hopefully now everyone has a bunch of gil to burn they'll want materia again and I'll finally get a Twelve-damned spiritbond party in Natalan to finish my last couple of classes sitting at 45ish because Atomos killed Caravan and Natalan spiritbond parties which used to make getting 40-50 a lot nicer.
It's not fair, but it's also not realistic that they're going to do a rollback either. They're putting measures in place to stop it from happening anymore, but the damage has been done. I just hope this doesn't have too negative of an impact on the economy in 2.0 since a lot of people are going to have a lot more money than they normally would have.
I guess your definition of plebes is people that don't want to craft forever or go farm forever.LOL rich people aren't farming atomos, that is for plebes.

It's not that I'm disagreeing, it's that they're only hurting people who just now are joining it. If they really gave two shits about the economy they'd do more than nerf atomos/dawn drop. That's my two cents. It's not fair, but it's also not realistic that they're going to do a rollback either.
