someone complain that graphics is downgrade... so....

i had a bit of a lightbulb lately as i went to play WoW on this machine that can cap out the settings on the current version of FFXIV.

I get a steady 40fps in the overworld there, and even sunk as low as 15fps in booty town.
WHY? Because as old as WoW is, it uses every bit of my beefy graphics card.
If you want more character models to show up and for the world to be more animated than static,
even in todays maximum technology, you can't also have maximum static detail.
I really wouldn't chalk it up to bad optimisation.

I'd rather have better graphics than 200 people on my screen. Also would rather have better graphics than NPCs more realistically milling about.

I would rather have the large scale pve they have planned. I will also wait and see how it is in front of me

I should re subscribe to DAoC, 200 people on screen at the same time is fun.
