I don't think the damage has been done, it will probably only take a week or so of people going back to farming their regular things for prices to stabilize hopefully. At this point whatever changes they do will be too late unless they decide to do a glorious rollback. People have taken advantage of the dawn drops exchange already. Normally I wouldn't condone taking advantage of exploits like this but since we're getting a gil reduction anyway I just joined the thousand others and got myself up to a point where I'll still have a pretty nice sum when 2.0 hits to steal away 9/10th of our gil. Maybe they will fix it, in some ways I sort of hope they do since it's gone on long enough, but we'll have to see what happens, right?

I think the problem is the game is coming to an end (as we know it) and most people are settled & accepting of the situation. Now that SE has laid their cards on the table about whats happening with 2.0 (gil, arrows, etc) the market is having a huge fluctuation. I have seen items shoot up in price and others vanish completely. I fear this will be what to expect between now and the last couple of weeks of gametime.
I would expect most of the food, ammo & ingredients will be gone around the 2 week out mark.
