I cannot think of one single thing I like about the retainers. Especially now that they're useless but still their existence alone is preventing the game to have a proper selling and item storage system.

Accessibility and ease of use.

You'll find if you read all my other supporting posts, that i fully agree with this statement, and that this is what needs to be addressed. Buying items is easy. MWs have some unique secondary features that AHes don't. However the process of putting items up for sale requires you to go through like a dozen different menus and UIs and even some walking around if you don't know the going rate for an item.

A potentially easy way to at least cut down on that would be to call up the price history of an item whenever you are setting a price. That shouldn't be hard to do and would save a crap ton of effort.

Next, eliminating the separate screens for item exchange and price listing. I don't see any reason why you can't do all this stuff from the same interface.

Those are two things that would help immensely without even requiring a major resturcture.

Beyond that, a lot of the things people complain about, like sluggish retainer UI integrating each city's market into one, are already in the works.

there's nothing wrong with the storage system, only the lack of a delivery box which is coming in 2.0. you get plenty of storage and it doesn't work any differently than in XI other than point of access. the rest of my post above was devoted to simplifying item sales. Retainers can also buy items for you which is unique to this game, and can have stuff offered for repairs for you, again unique to this game. Retainers were supposed to do a lot more than they do now, but when the game had such a broken launch, further development on them basically ground to a halt while they spent their time fixing everything else.

Of course, despite all this, people will continue to hate for illogical reasons such as "I hate it' and 'it's retarded' and 'it's not an AH" instead of real sensible reasons with a real explanation.

If you had bothered to read all of my previous posts, you would know that I have a number of complaints with regards to the MW system.

Are the servers back up yet? I wanna get my retainer into a MW in uldah. Did I mention that the issue of all the markets wards in Uldah being full of retainers, really "upsets" me?
