Fixed. Seriously, its all in the post by Yoshida.
I am going to use the power of my Legacy account to list every item in the game at 1.0 levels right after 2.0 launches so that all of you people that are absolutely freakin' terrible at economics get mad and quit the game.
just make sure you list the price on every item on every server and what people from every time zone buys it for. the reason i say this is because they are all different even in 1.0

I don't think anyone noticed this but I think the OP is a high school drop out that would have failed maths anyway, the reps have said one digit will be knocked of and mentioned 1/10th reduction in prices and player gil. Now to me this doesn't seem like a 90% gil loss, it seems more like a 10% gil loss.
Dumb troll.
I'm not sure the concept is so far off.
Say Heaven's Eye IV materia is selling for 1,900,000 - 2,100,000. In 2.0, it will be listed for 1 mil then 800k then maybe 700k. Then probably 500k. Might not go much lower than that. Even if it goes down to 400k that is still TWICE as much as in 1.0
Will it ever drop to 190k? Very unlikely.
Conclusion (and all the OP is trying to say) = Gil redenomination will screw with the economy. I agree.
this will cause a massive inflation of prices at release, however in a few months it will eventually equalize then prices will fall.
im sure this is what SE is aiming for.
