You think the end of the world is supposed to be easy? Skipping around La Noscea singing happy songs as a giant ball of death is going to crash into the world and cause untold destruction.
The fact the mobs are becoming like this just shows that its really happening. It's not like it stops you doing anything, leves, go to another camp that's safe, going to a dungeon near (Is it cassie hollow near cedarwood?) go to the next nearest camp and Chocobo. Unless you are really an RMT and are sick of watching your armies of Lalafell teleport in and get raped...
You misunderstood. This should be sight aggro so that it can actually kill all of the RMT. Only seeing the leaders die is pretty lame. You think the end of the world is supposed to be easy? If the mobs pop near enough to the node they should aggro the RMT army unless they are set to walk, remember teleporting to a camp with Atomos and a skeleton or ghost kills you before everything loads?
Also (correct me if I am wrong) don't true sound mobs aggro through walking?
I'm not entirely sure is True sight/sound makes any sense anyways. They should aggro to magic but SE decided to make them aggressive. I don't entirely understand the reason behind this decision but elementals should be passive/aggressive and in harmony with life around them but if you do something to intimidate them, well, you know...
Note: lv.45~50Bombs/Balloons would of been the best mob choice!

Not sure if it's just my server or what, but the elementals are pretty spread out from the aetheral gate. So they don't really need to walk.
Weird I just ran across an NPC last night who talked about the elementals becoming enraged. Hard to say if it was a new NPC or an old one with new speech.
BLACK SHROUD BE ANGRY
This is what you get for wanting Gridania to burn for the last 2 years.
NPCs have been saying that since launch really, since your very presence angered the forest to begin with lol.
They aren't "true sound" to begin with (nor is there any such thing - scent agro mobs attack anything they can smell, which is close enough, regardless of whether or not they are moving... which by definition means they don't agro any kind of sound, true, false, regular, or otherwise). They are just regular sound agro. Which means the RMT sitting on the gate don't get attacked, period.
That said, you can certainly pile a ton of eles around the gate and the leaders will get constantly killed as they try to initiate LQs. Also you can scatter the eles to the west of Cedarwood, which is the field whatever LQ thing they're doing is done. It's very easy to choco herd them where you want. They have a large territory.
Actually there are. Call it what you will but walking halves the actual aggro radius.
