Did you know if you google "rokien" you come up with this:

The light-to-shadow transition (face and arm) is very nice and seems to be smoother than what we have now even on max settings.

However, overall he looks more like a plastic toy or action figure than what we have now.

I hope this is just because it's on low settings.

I really doubt it's because of pre-alpha or low settings. Most likely only the lighting in that particuliar scene.
