Atomos: Major annoyance for new players

I think people make a waaay too huge deal out of this.

I actually counted and it's mainly the "vets" that are commenting how it's not a big deal

Tbh, yeah it's not a big deal but still like Xakery said above "some newb will comment how vets are dicks" lol. I think everyone on this forum is so eager to jump to conclusions.

I don't think any noobie here complain about the advice people give - There are people even on this thread who actually explained the event and that really should have been it.
The dick comments are about people who really are acting like dicks on this forum... Everything (shock horror) is not about you! :P

When I said that people make a too huge deal out of this I meant newbies and veterans likewise.
The most vocal newbies are hellbent on starting drama about a few deaths which, like I said before, happens to ALL players, not just newbies.
That's why they react in such an insulting way to any "veteran" trying to actually HELP them by posting spawn times or ways to evade monsters and so on.
So some veterans tend to get all defensive and say things which sound close to "You are a newb so it's only right that you die".
But after all, the Atomos "event" is just that - an event.
All players suffer from dying and all players can enjoy the feeling of doom it's supposed to give them, newbies and veterans alike. So I don't understand how people get off on calling others "pigs" and whatnot instead of just enjoying the event to the fullest while it lasts.

But on another note, I'm hoping with 2.0, the community of FF14 in general both in game and on the forum improves.

Not all of us are insensitive to new players. Exculibar is a very freindly server for new players, of course I can't say that Excalibur is immune to jerks as well.

I'm on Balmung now, so far things have been ok. Still a lot of BOTs, but I huess they are everywhere.

I don't have every job to 50 for the simple reason that this game is BROKEN, and I have spent some of my "gaming time" playing other games.
Gratz on the paragon crown. Why do you mention that? Elitist pig maybe ? IDGAF about your levels gil or crowns, what I do care about is your attitude with regard to helping new players.
