No policing. Its just a general trend that is not uncommon in all of the other sections of the forums as well. People come on here that are actually looking for information to help them play the game and have to sift through 9 out of 10 threads just to find something that is actually helpful or relevant. People always talk about how great the ff community is as a whole, but if one were to judge mainly off of these forums, it seems like its full of adolescent trolls not unlike the other mmos that everyone is so quick to flame.

I beg to differ, I don't have to sift through dozens troll threads as you pretend to find quality information because, I, unlike most people, have a brain and thus am capable of distinguishing the contents of a thread based solely on it's title.

Let me make an example: "If my ideas were implemented, FFXIV would be amazing." or "How to die even if youre still dead: "

VERSUS: "1.23 Imperial Event" or "Live Letter Discussion Thread" or "JP to English Translations"

It's amazing how the title of a thread alone will inform you of the content of the OP as a whole and yet you dimwits STILL think there is a shread of seriousness in a thread with a title as rediculous as this one's. It takes half a brain to spot the irony and satire in the title alone yet you instantly reply with some serious putdowns before having read even the first paragraph of the OP only to make a fool out of yourself.

Enraged by your own stupidity and self humiliation you try and blame the OP for making a comical post that only exemplifies your faults when in reality you should blame yourself for hitting reply before having even finished the OP much less the pages that follow.

If you really have a hard time sifting through troll posts and serious information you might want to take your blinders off and start by reading the titles. The next step is to use that nifty bookmark function in your browser and compile a FFXIV folder consisting of the threads that are helpful and inevitably end up burried -not because of posts like this but simply because after enough time has past all information on said topic is exhausted and people stop bumping those threads.

Oh by the way, there are also websites like mozk-tabetai and eorzepedia that contain 90% of the information in the game displayed in an easy to interract format making scouring the forums for helpful information futile and a waste of time except in the case of new content immediately after a patch.

Update: New Content

I want this game to be soloable. I'm tired of using up so much time in behest and leves while getting nothing in the end. Everyone does exp parties now and get 10x my exp, its just too hard to find a group without a search function. SE should drop everything they are doing and release a search function. Exp groups are unfair, give us solo content that I could just go against mobs all day with my friends. Except mobs are too easy, I want a challenge and give me lots of EXP when I roll them. But solo mobs are boring and easy-mode I need a challenge. I am just going to make exp groups with my friends and forget about leves and behest.

I cant play with my new friends! Im like R50 in everything and they are only R10. They ask me to help but all I can do is PL. I don't want to PL like everyone else does, so I think lvl sync would be a good idea. Just don't force me to be R30 now in the low lvl dungeons or I wont be able to pwn it for my friends and show off. But now that I think about it lvl sync sounds like exp will be slow, I think PLing my friends would be easier just so they can be R50 in like a day, and then they will be skilled at their job.

I just met some new friends that are EUR and JP. They are lots of fun, good people. This lag though, frick it I would do anything to play on an american server with no lag....we need more data centres that are everywhere in the world. What I think is you should put one in like canada and after the states. But if you make it so they are only for NA servers, I refuse to play this game. I would rather just play 1.0.

So I been having lots of fun getting my choco mask achivement doing GC runs. Man I remeber they use to give 250 seals, then the nice people on the forums asked nicely for more seals per run. Jeez it gives 1k seals now per run, I am so thankful for that! I was in the middle of doing my daily hours work of GC runs for seals everyday, and out of no where comes an Atomos! Everyone told me to kill him in several times, and I ended up getting like 100k seals before bed time, wow.
After a few days I totally forgot about caravan runs, I can't believe I did so many days on those silly choco runs, everyone is doing this new amazing atomos seal exploit. If you ever take away Atomos I will be very angry, but I'm not going to do the exploit anymore it will be unfair for the 2.0 people, I got all my GC items anyways.

I was doing Ifrit the other day in reindeer outfit, because I can and those plumes a 10 year old could dodge easily. After killing him 300 times, I still have yet to get my ifrit battleaxe! Why doesn't SE fix this? Decided to go down and stack BLM killing Garuda, and in 3 days flat I had every weapon I was astonished. Hasn't SE heard about balance and using every job? If balance doesn't come like now this will be bad, very bad. In the meantime I am just going to stack BLM because drop rates suck and this is easy game.

But really I want to ride a magitek t-rex mount. Where is it?
