Mamba the voice of reason among the elitists within this thread.
But on another note, I'm hoping with 2.0, the community of FF14 in general both in game and on the forum improves.

I have an Idea =^,^= .. > all the high level elite's can guard those areas with thier lives..
this is time to let your true personalities shine..
show how elite you are by protecting those low levels..
help the ppl that need to quicly complete content to reach there goals..
I mean is having best gear in slot and standing afk in the city going to get you the respect you so desire.. no
Time for true hero's to rise up :P
ok enough sarcasm.. @OP > I am truly sorry for "the harshness of the <% current comunity"
and I too agree that those monsters should be at a lil higher camps only at least.. I hope you use the ways around it and all goes well =^,^= look forward to playing with u all in ARR /crazy excited..
- I am actually standing up for new people and not whining my dear
- I haven't left Besaid, my character is still there. I made a new low level character so I can experience the lower level missions as they were meant to be experienced: as a lower level character.
- And I don't actually even know what you mean with the rest of the bits you highlighted lol :P
Tbh, I think this thread has gone long enough and it's very obvious that the forums are a very dangerous place for a person who has made the biggest sin and bought the game now that the world is coming to an end (lol). How dare new people start the game and post something on forums! haha
PS: YuriSan, I am actually a girl and you can see my pic on my ffxi profile on FFXIAH.com under name Sugarpanda on Siren![]()
There is a little Monkey in all of us....
I don't know, it makes sense to me that the end of the world should affect everyone.
well said!
It would be stupid if they were like "let all the veterans go through the end of the era of the first attempt at ffxiv but we must not harm the people who start a month or two before we destroy this so they feel welcomed, loved, and get their stuff caught up"
This topic has made me pretty...
upset >_>
i wasn't one too complain about atamos at all, but half of the people here don't even seem to care for newer people who (and yes you always have these people) don't follow up on the latest news every single day, all these "well its the end off the world so get used to dieying" comments make my heart bleed and pray for the future off this game,
like somebody mentioned, don't scare your new people away, and at this rate you are doing just that :-/
i can understand why other newer people see this as an annoying thing, i have been avoiding area's and mainly have been playing in limsa now but i'm sure others still need to find this out over the weekend...
But you are missing a lot by grouping the people who have played this the longest. I've scrolled through the pages of this topic and the vets tell you new people how and when to avoid this. Oh my gosh, stop complaining new people and learn to read. The vets are saying, "hey look out and don't go to these places at x time or x hour"This topic has made me pretty...

Have a great day new people. Oh and don't worry about crying, the world will end soon enough. ^^;
You mean something like this?

And Atomos has nothing to do with the garleans, I think

Okay... this has gone beyond being overblown at this point, I think.
It's a few minutes per hour, at certain camps. It's perfectly safe for the rest of the time. You stand more chance of dying during a leve-quest than you do dying from Atomos, even not knowing that it spawns at all, much less when it does.
Why are people making this huge deal out of it?
Is 5 minutes or so of not being able to get to an aetheryte crystal seriously so ruinous to some people's enjoyment?
Really?
I seriously have a difficult time believing that. It seems like drama for drama's sake. People arguing just to argue.
Like I said in my previous post in this thread, level 50s have just as much chance of being dropped if they port into a camp at the wrong time. In other words: It's not exclusive to new players. New players are not being singled out in this. No one is exempt from it. Didn't know about the Atomos thing and got killed once due to bad timing? Well, now you know and so it shouldn't be a problem.
I got killed, too, because I ported in at the wrong time due to not knowing when it would be spawning. Did I flip out over it? No (thought it was pretty funny, to be honest). I found out the specifics of its spawn conditions, learned when it does and now know to avoid those camps at those times. Problem solved.
Why all this drama over so small a thing?

Tell it to the Leve desk. My question is, who the hell are they spawning this stuff for? The legions of level 50 people hanging out at Black Brush?? I guess I must be getting the infamous FF14 lag because I'm not seeing them.
