Ninja from fencer
Red mage from musketeer
corsair from thief
blue mage from... I don't know. Marauder. That'd be funny.
(I want to see Lala comic Denmo doing the Picard!)
Wonder if Corsair will be the job that stems from Musketeer. Corsair fits the whole Pirate Motif and I think I saw some npc in a CS with a Hexagon. Corsair has some good draws for party support
I cant think of any other Jobs..Maybe Ranger? But that seems too much like Archer. Then again Bard came outta no where. Hopefully in the live letter tomorrow we'll get some Musketeer info. Unless Summoner will be the only new class at ARR Launch.
There isn't a need for a corsair, don't be afraid of something different. Outside of "Core" FF classes, I don't understand why people cling to every single class that existed in FFXI. Musketeer should be the job.

Musketeer as the job would be strange though, at least lore-wise. Arcanist and Musketeer both already have guild halls, which only the classes have. Arcanist is being released as a class, so releasing musketeer as a job would be strange.
Why not Musketeer -> Gunner? Or Canoneer?
I think you have an extremely valid point, but they made really significant changes to Conj/Thm that conflicts with the game's lore. I think introducing job halls would be very beneficial to the game because they help introduce players to the jobs and what they should aspire to be.Musketeer as the job would be strange though, at least lore-wise. Everquest did this for their races and classes.
World of Warcraft did this for their classes to an extent in the game, but to an expert level with the races and classes through their association with WC3. Players were familiarized to these very early on because of the race and class' easy association with Warcraft 3 and their RTS units.
It really helps bring players into the game. Ask most people what a Thaumaturge does, and they're going to go huh? What does a Conjurer do? The answer isn't going to be elements and healing, they're going to say summon things. For non FF players, jobs like Dragoon won't be immediately obvious, so there are many ways they can better clarify their class and job systems. Guilds are one way to do that.
I recently made this thread in which people voted for their favorite jobs. The results can be viewed here. out of (ironically) exactly 500 votes so far corsair only had 15.
It seems to be the case that SE is adding jobs based on a equal parts combination of what people want, and what the game needs. As such it's very likely that when your favorite job is added it may be nothing like what you're used to, such as the case with Bard.
If it's true that SE is trying to give people what they want, based on the 500 votes so far from our community, it's safe to assume we may be seeing RDM next. For all the fans of COR they may be unfortunately stuck waiting a while.

Its not about clinging to a job from FFXI (COR74 before I quit) Just saying it obviously just makes me think of Corsair. It could be anything of course. I agree with with some of the posters that The cards and quickdraws and dice maybe dont fit in the same world. But Gun chemist sure. Machinist sure Gun mage sure. Or even a Musketeer > Fencer that seems maybe to fit. I dont know started drifting into Three Musketeers movies lol guess we'll just see
