Atomos: Major annoyance for new players

It's the end of the world, our every day activities SHOULD be getting disrupted. Sure it's annoying but it's only for a short time. You aren't getting permanently stopped from doing anything.

While it can be annoying at certain camps, it's only at certain camps. You can always move elsewhere.

So far, Limsa Lominsa is a region safe from Atomos in its entirety. No headaches there.

Which is weird because I think Atomos definitely needs to visit Cedarwood lol.

A couple of things, first we already know what Atomos' spawn times are and what camps he will spawn at so it is not hard to avoid. Second, do you really want to take away from the experience of the cataclysmic event from the majority of the player base so that a small group of people can continue to be close-minded and only populate the ul'dahn region? Third, new accounts aren't being accepted in two weeks so I think that shows SE isn't too worried about recruiting until 2.0.

In case you don't know, he spawns at 6:00 and 12:00 in the new locations (Blue aetheryte crystals) and 18:00 and 24:00 at the old locations (Orange aetheryte crystals, but a new player shouldn't even see these places)

just a small quibble... both Limsa and Gridania main stories and GC story lines send you out to camp glory at 25

I really like the fact that the end of the world is messing stuff up. Especially since it's more an "inconvenience" than straight up rendering the game unplayable, since you can avoid them based on time of day and alternate leve locations.

Coming here and seeing the game world slowly twist and break apart is much more impressive than other MMO's where the characters just "say" that different things are happening yet nothing happens or changes....ever.

I hope they continue changes like this in 2.0.

Immediately going to the newb card is a bit harsh, but come on! There are multiple sites that tell you these things are coming and there are multiple places to lvl your jobs. Go to a place where there is NO ATMOS. It is selfish to complain about not being able to do your quests because of a "in-game world wide change". It defeats the purpose of trying to better FFXIV if we are going to caudle every insignificant complaint. Do your research, be resourceful and be patient before complaining about a game mechanic that is there to help us all get to 2.0.
