This is what I was going by, I wasn't playing the game that page brought me back. It states Anyone who has had 3 months of paid playtime from January 6th until the start of beta, would be eligible for Legacy. Why should I have to dig for more information, when it should have been updated on the legacy page. There was the welcome back campaign back in April I played for 2 weeks, the game in my opinion still wasn't worth paying for. Then in August after a few rather big patches I said hey, there's no way beta will start by October, the game is borderline worth paying for, let's give SE $30 bucks and get legacy status 2 months later, oh haha we're suspending payment for the October even though there is no beta. First they released a game that was broken and I paid $70 to find that out. Then oh hey legacy that seems cool and there is still time to get it(apparently had I googled for information that wasn't posted on the legacy page I would know I couldn't have.) Honestly at first this thread was started for some extra credit homework and a way to pass some time until the beer man got here. After reading 15 pages of arguing. I actually feel screwed over by SE and am kinda disappointed with the community.
6-9 months to get Legacy really if don't have it by now... @.@ Its been known for a long time now, weather it was misleading or not, people have well over a half a year to get Legacy. I want everyone to have legacy.. however it's been there for soo long that if you don't have it by now.. then I guess you really didn't think the game was going to be this cool.
Just to say about those who left the game.. it did suck really bad lol, I played beta (wewt lol) and went in around December 2011 lol it has gotten better but even early 2012 has been pretty bad. The game is -alright- now. The iconic SE graphics and nostalgic FF (job) aspects is what is keeping it alive I feel. Not awesome gameplay lol - again its getting better though. And it appears Yoshida has made this his iron fix- makes me really excited.6-9 months to get Legacy really if don't have it by now... @.@ Its been known for a long time now, weather it was misleading or not, people have well over a half a year to get Legacy. I think you'd have a strong point if they had said "Legacy campaign ends in a 9 months" on the page then it would be everyone's fault for just not paying attention.
But there is -nothing- to pay attention to on the -only- page that matters. So yes its been a while but why would that matter? Until beta happens according to the main page - Legacy is always available..

Here we go with the " nothing was on the main legacy page" line again. You have 6-9 months to get Legacy (and that's a long time) if you waited this long well.. you don't deserve this program. If you really wanted the discounted people wouldn't wait till the last minute.. because people didn't know "when the beta was going to start" so why would you take the chance to begin with? Just get Legacy and be done with it?
I am usually a " wait to the last minute" type of person, but when it comes to something as important as " Getting a cheaper rate" I make sure I get the legacy as soon as I heard about it.
*Comforting SquintyB* I missed it too ;/
I can play that game too. Here we go with the " nothing was on the main legacy page" line again. "Here we go with the you've had time speech again"
Why would they know they had time if they are from the outside looking in.
Seriously dude, why would they know what you know? People are not psychic.
And It doesn't matter if people deserve the program - the matter is that SE has made a program that accepts everyone until beta.
According to their offical announcment of Legacy its beta. So its not your place to say its too late now.
And yes I know the representative have given a different date but:
If you call customer service they will tell you that those where only guide lines.
Second those representative posts were not posted on the main legacy page.
And its a pretty good idea to get a cheaper rate asap - but that doesnt mean everyone else should get screwed because they arent like you.
Think what you like, facts are facts
The game sucked, why am I going pay good money for a bad game, just to get a cheaper rate when the game may not get better? I'm just saying the webpage says, have 3 months paid before beta starts. They know what they're doing. The game got worth paying for right around the time, I paid for it. Why wouldn't SE suspend billing now, it makes sense for them. How many people came back right around that time? I'm guessing alot which means by suspending billing thus cutting off the possibility for more legacy members, that's alot of extra $5 bills for them after 2.0 comes out.
