Mixing skills at 50

So as a thaumaterge, leveling up Int and Mnd will be fine since I'll be mixing conjurer skills with it, but as a blackmage, i should concentrate on int / pie since I wont be using any whm / cnj abilities.... I highly doubt monk and archer abilities will come in handy ( unless they are designed to benifit from each other somehow ) infact I am surprised they would do this. what does archer / puglist have to do with blm at all? Sounds like I'd like thaumaterge with the cross skills of conjurer more than a blackmage with limited class crossing abilities although im sure black mage gets stronger damaging spells.

Mainly, Pugilist allows you to use Second Wind and Featherfoot. Archer gives Chameleon. So a self heal, a guaranteed evade and an enmity drop.
