WTF end of billing no legacy staus fml

On the Legacy Campaign page, the eligibility blurb states that those who have paid prior to the "...start of version 2.0 beta testing are eligible." I'd like to point out that the alpha testing begins Nov. 11th, and that beta testing won't come until alpha testing is complete. Though if they are cutting off the payment subs after sept 29th until the release of ARR, I guess it doesn't matter. It just goes to show that the Legacy Campaign page is even MORE misleading as members only had until alpha testing to cash in their three months.

I started my continuous subscription late August, and although I haven't paid for 3 months, I have played since release (actually purchased the Collector's Edition) and stuck through and through until they started charging. I'm hoping that Square compensates for this some how.

I don't feel sorry for anyone specially those who quit when billing started in the first place -.- for all I care those who have supported S-E more then the 3 months are the ones who are deserving it I know there are others out there that have been paying each and every month like I have... so cry all you want you made your choices when you quit at December ty have a nice day o.o/

Cool Cool, but your opinion doesnt matter to the fact they where still misleading - and running an underhanded campaign. Due to a lack of information - if they had informed in logical way its just a pure awesome campaign to their loyal fans.

Yeah it sucks I really wish my computer didnt die after the 1st month of them starting their fees I'd gladly donate if there was some way I could. I have Legacy but I really want FFXIV to succeed.

what are you talking about at the time we all knew what was happening with legacy status even I was sure it was closed down if they had it or not it was a topic discussed in the forums... and if they were loyal fans they would not of quit in the first place and came back and started trying to act like martyrs... I LEFT NOW I'M BACK LET ME HAVE MY SPECIAL GIFT I DESERVE IT... I mean I feel bad like for ppl like Rahsch but people had like had half a year to start getting a subscription running playing or not they had the whole "pay for 3 months legacy status to get it" I mean come on >.>/ you could of payed for 3 months and not played just to get legacy status... I know several people who did that I even convinced my friends to at least do that...

The Campaign as I stated earlier in this thread wasn't entirely a gift for the current players - it was meant to hold everyone in tight and bring back those that left. So as it brought in people (doing its job) it has also mislead them.


Also for the third time: all of that information that we've seen because we've been apart of the forums has not been placed onto the OFFICIAL legacy page. Therefore it is all crap to someone who just joined and never got to see it until its way too late to even know.

I completly understand the point of legacy - and what you are saying. But it doesnt matter in the face of the poorly placed (perhaps on purpose) information to belay the truth.

I'm stopped arguing this pointless fight, because all the info was their, weather it was on the Big Red Icon on the front of the lodestone or a simple browse "On their lodestone" to get that information, point is all the information was there and stated numerous of times. and that's how I left my stance and it still hasn't changed. People had January/Feb/Mar/April/May/June 6 months 1/2 a year or 3 months If you did it before June, if thats the case then 9 months ( almost a year) to get "3 months" in.

SE gave everyone plenty of time/notice to get Legacy. I have nothing more left to say on this matter.

None of the warning was on the official page, Starlord is incorrect in SE giving appropriate notice.

Most people are fine with them not informing correctly becuase they actually have legacy or dont want others to have it because they want to be special. But seriously, be realistic - the only way to know of these extra conditions SE added was to be on the forums at the time the posts where made or look at the webpage at the time it was posted temporarily. That is a very unrealistic condition to add onto a campaign - that is always visible to the public (even right freaking now).

Oh the only way to view the forums is with an active subscription, so basically a trap - you have to pay to figure out you are screwed.
