    I like this response, it makes sense. Some of the replies I have gotten, mainly from the OP just refuses to read what I wrote. I am all for improving the game in anyway, I just don't like being called one that isn't just because I am asking for patience from others for either the live letter or Alpha in general. The posts saying that what they saw is the golden standard of ARR, make me facepalm. Since we haven't even heard/seen everything they have planned.

    I hate to throw in with this, but watching the videos currently out there also have me a touch worried. Just a little. The animations are... janky. At best.

    On one hand, this is pre-alpha, and they did say that they didn't even want to show it 'cause it doesn't look that good, but on the other, it might be that this is the aim and it won't be improved upon.

    I'm hoping it's the former and they've just yet to optimize/finalize the character animations, but in any case, I may as well throw in my support for this thread. Didn't think I'd do that in the end :P.

    Yay, the thread railed back in to the topic at hand.
    So regarding what i pointed out, have the devs shed any light on this being confirmed/toggleable?
    I didn't watch the special talk sessions because it's boring as hell so yeah. Just wondering.

    But this is false. There are people who's job is to give feedback from the community constantly. And a thread like this, on their official forums, is where these people look first.

    You DO realize that the game was completely rebuilt from the ground up, right? They didn't copy/paste animations from 1.0 to 2.0, if my assumption is correct. I was worried for a few seconds until I realized that they've yet to properly add in the motion capture in the demo version. They've explicitly stated that the game you saw in the demo Yoshida was playing was not the finished product. Content> animations~ :P

    Edit: Oh wait, this is one of THOSE threads... why'd I bother posting? ;_; Oh yeah, fun!

    You do realize that almost every pre-alpha (especially a couple of months before alpha) game ever presented to the public including FFXIV 1.0, included the animation of the final product?

    Character movement is not something you ... add later. Its a core element of the game. We're not concern about the upper left corner of the minimap here.

    When Yoshida says "its not the finished product", he could talk about a million things but animation.

    I saw a lot of people accusing me of making a useless thread, yet i saw nobody presenting a downside of making our views known and asking for clarification early on.

    Can anyone please answer my question?

    I somehow find myself being more interested at how this community thinks rather than the subject of this thread.
