I doubt they'll ever have plans to put a server anywhere near the southern hemisphere.

Also I'm pretty sure there was recognition by SE of this server delay. They were able to remove some of the delay involving the UI, but it's not completely gone.. which is one of the reasons they ditched it.

That's not forgetting that there are a couple of people here and there that really need to learn to move their character :V

I'm not sure where in the southern hemisphere that your referring to, but if your referencing South America you will probably notice a sizable boost to server reaction time by connecting to a NA server. If you're in Australia then you are geologically close enough to Japan that it should have never been an issue for you in the first place.

In regards to the people QQing about Ifrit. I was being facetious in my original post. I acknowledge the fact that server lag is a real issue for some people, especially people on the North American east coast which practically couldn't be any further from Japan. In regards to Ifrit though, most people were able to counteract the problem by timing when he is getting ready to use an ability and reading the battle log in order to move out of range quickly enough.

Really? I notice no server lag for Final Fantasy. But While playing Guild Wars 2 on an NA Server I definitely notice it.
