I have some crazy s sounds.. (not in a good way) ss ss ssss
(check out the thick band of gray on mine and then compare it to everyone else... lol)
I like that a lot of girls have applied (you dont hear female voice overs on trailers too often) so good job girls!
And good job to everyone - makes me feel silly for even trying lol .
We need a game design contest of some sort where all you have to do is write and do silly charts... you guys too good for me lol

here's my official one. i don't expect it to win anything, but i really think lalafell voices are under represented.

I literally clapped IRL. Spot on in my opinion. You really brought home that crazy feeling when you did the high pitches. Thanks so much for the complimentsMade a new Smeagol/Gollum for you ^^ http://soundcloud.com/kstew86/smeagol-gollum_2
I'd have to agree with Shougou. I too love the girl entries. This one really brings a sense of worry/concern to the whole narrative. Good work.well this was my entry >.<

It's sucks that you didn't mean to have the static in there. You sounded like a Legatus/Judge. Potentially a Bane voiceover could be done with that. I was personally wondering how you pulled off that sound as I've been meaning to do a rewrite for the trailer from a Garlean Legatus' perspective but I haven't found out how to make that masked sound. The best I could think of is just cup my mouth with my hands or speak into an actual cup but it would be difficult to get the sound to go to the mic. Unless I put a hole in the bottom of the cup I guess, but then I'd be worried that my mouth was too close to the mic and I'd cause way too many splosives.Too many good ones! I particularly like your "Until Now", as well as your "beyond the reaches of time." You may not have meant this but you sound like a fallen/dying soldier, which is something I hadn't thought of and looking back, maybe I should have tried going that route instead. It's not as bad as you make it out to be. Lots of cool concepts in there.
I agree with you. Lalafells are underrepresented but we haven't seen all of the official entries. Maybe yours made it to the finals? I personally think you did a bit better, or at least on par, job than Papalymo's voice actor. You actually sounded young or lalafellish, while Papalymo sounds like an older gentlemen trying to pass as a kid, which maybe that's what happens to lalafells when they age. If that's the case, what's with the really low voiced Lalafells that I see around.... hmmmmm.....http://soundcloud.com/emmanuel-mitch...iv-dub-contest

Another thing I specifically liked about yours is that it sounded like you were informing or instructing a class. I thought that was kind of cute. Kind of like teaching a history lesson of some sort. When I think about it I think about the similarities of Dalamud and Meteor which ultimately brings to mind the children laughing at the end of Final Fantasy VII.
Thanks for nostalgia on that one.

thanks! yeah, I actually went back and listened to Papalymo's voice. there's a little mature, gruffness to it.

>.< thank you for the compliments guys
This is my official entry.
I didn't change it much but I added a bit more drama to the end.
Too kind XD!

I actually thought similar to you on the dying part lol. I was trying to make it darker, slightly softer bass, and less poppy exciting though I didnt mean to play dying (wanted darker particularly since we are talking about death and destruction not popcorn and candy hehe).
I was having trouble finding where to strain my voice.. but yeah dying is what I thought too after listening lol.

I like the great clarity you have in yours - got some good scratch in the voice as well (I think mine requires you to have subtitles and turn up your volume to have a sense of clarity lol).
