In a fantasy game, why be something you are in real life? Why not be something/someone new?

I primarily play female characters.

I understand this way of thinking..it is fun to be something you are not IRL XD However..I always try to make it look like me because I like who I am RL ^^ Not implying others don't or anything by any means lol

When interviewed back when this game was new, Nobuo Uematsu himself said he would pick Miqo'te as his race if he were to play the game, because he would want his character to be as unlike himself as possible, since he spends every day of his life as himself. I think that was on the making-of DVD that came with the collector's edition (or might have come with every copy, I don't remember)

There's a real simple answer to this.. Just don't flirt with people online! Its a game, so you should be playing a game. Its not a chat room to cyber and flirt, that's sort of just pathetic. If you want to find someone go out in the REAL WORLD and meet with people, not behind a computer screen.

This I mean is for the men who want to buy female characters presents and flirt and such and complain that they might not be real women, then just DON'T DO IT! lol

On another note, you shouldnt feel obligated to play someone of the same gender if you dont feel to do so, as long as your PAYING for your subscription, dont let anyone tell you how to play your game!
