Never cared for PvP it's always unfair and always effects PvE in a bad way.

This is totally false. FFXI had PvP. It doesn't affect PvE at all, one iota, one micron. PvP and PvE are isolated systems and you don't have to participate in PvP if you don't want to and PvE does not change.
Also a load of crap.PvP= the man/woman with the biggest Macro Keyboard wins.
Who are you to decide whats totally false, etc.
When enough melees cry about how fast they get comboed to death by a black mage. They'll ask for a nerf to Thundara combo and they'll do it if enough people complain, and then black mage would be shit in PvE cause they got gimped.
It's happened in alot more MMOs than FFXI.
Have u ever PVP'd? BLM/Wizard class was never used or rarely used in PVP only in big scale siege war because they have no survivability for PvP and are huge liability. When enough melees cry about how fast they get comboed to death by a black mage. They'll ask for a nerf to Thundara combo and they'll do it if enough people complain, and then black mage would be shit in PvE cause they got gimped.

They also are usually the ones that have to hit you quick and hard and drop you in seconds before you see them for that reason, this is where the term glass cannon came from and why it's also used for mages![]()
Are you trolling or??? Because just off the top of my head I can think of several games where wizard classes were great in pvp. WoW, Aion, and AoC for example...
Any change to the battle system that affects all content will have content balanced with those changes in mind.So yes people will choose to do PvP if they want to or not, but will the developers continue to make sacrifices in the name of PvP balance?
There's a lot more to PvP than pressing your keys faster than the other person.you don't know what your on about. nobody manually enter's skills when you can sting Multiable skills together and activate them quicker.
Yoshi-P is trying to create content for all crowd types to enjoy. Who is any one group to decide that their content of choice is "better" and must be prioritized over the others?

It was announced long ago that PvP would have its own skills/gear for that very reason; to avoid messing with the PvE equivalents. There goes that argument. When enough melees cry about how fast they get comboed to death by a black mage. They'll ask for a nerf to Thundara combo and they'll do it if enough people complain, and then black mage would be shit in PvE cause they got gimped.

More like "the man/woman who sets up their keybinds properly, knows what each of their skills do and has an IQ of over 30 wins"
I've never had to touch any of my 18 G-keys on the left side of my keyboard, especially after I set up an efficient UI and easy to access keybinds on my mouse/keyboard in "that" game.
I do it all the time, as do most PvPers.you don't know what your on about. nobody manually enter's skills when you can sting Multiple skills together and activate them quicker. its a very serious issue in many PvP MMO's and leads to an unfair advantage those that dont setup macro's will loose a good percentage of the time.
Your multi-skill macro won't mean anything when I lock you out of each one with an interrupt/silence/stun/fear/etc from a single key press. The only people who macro their skills like that in PvP are the kids who don't know what the hell they're doing.
But yeah, to answer OP's question... Yes. I will gracefully swan dive in to PvP.
XI:Shadowtaru (Alexander)Manifest(Shiva) Volnaru (Asura)
1.0: Delirium Impulse (MysidiaGungnir)
ARR:Dashe Herate (Sargatanas)Dashe Voln (Excalibur)
Because they never made changes to XI's battle system as a whole to benefit PvP, they adjusted the event itself. In XIV however, they adjusted the entire battle system that affects both PvP and PvE for the sake of PvP, it was Yoshi's own words that they made casting spec changes and taking out position requirements for PvP.
If they keep doing major changes like that for PvP, you'll pretty much have no choice but to partake into PvP as PvE will slowly become a shell of itself after awhile, as we see happen in pretty much all MMOs with a good PvP system that also has PvE content. So the reason using XI as an example won't work is because they didn't make any generalize changes to the core game like they are with XIV. Other MMOs make a lot of balance changes purely because of PvP which usually has an adverse effect on PvE and it becomes Balance TugOWar for quite awhile until the devs says "Fuck it, we'll get rid of x so we don't need to keep balancing both systems."
This is why PvP tends to pull ahead of PvE in terms of balance.
So yes people will choose to do PvP if they want to or not, but will the developers continue to make sacrifices in the name of PvP balance?
