When you're bored waiting for LS members to log on there is plenty of other content you can do your self that is actually productive, like crafting for example.
Who are you to decide what's "productive?"
For one, there's almost certainly going to be some kind of reward for participation. for two, if they're having fun, what the hell else matters?
You're absolutely right, which is why those Some People can choose not to play PvP, and the other Some People can choose to play it.It's not a hard concept to grasp that some people just plain don't care for PvP,
If you want to have fun that's fine but doing something that isn't going to help you progress in the game is what I consider unproductive. Doing something like crafting that is going to help you progress, I consider productive.
I didn't decide it was false, it's a fact that it's false. FFXI's PvP was a totally isolated system that had 100% zero impact on PvE functionality. All balance accommodations for PvP only applied while you were in PvP.Who are you to decide whats totally false, etc.
Step 1) sleep BLMWhen enough melees cry about how fast they get comboed to death by a black mage. They'll ask for a nerf to Thundara combo and they'll do it if enough people complain, and then black mage would be shit in PvE cause they got gimped.
step 2) wail on him with WS combo
...
Step 3) profit!
Also, the battle system is changing a lot when 2.0 releases. You don't know that BLM isn't going to be affected by that at all.
