Absolutely! I think it's amazing what people can do with pencil and paper. The drawing you displayed is very detailed and it shows the time you have spent on it. It's the diagrams that go along with yours that makes it more spectacular. My philosophy in design work is 'if you don't have anything positive to say about something....don't say anything atall'

Your sarcasm meter is apparently broken sir. There you go again getting worked up again over nothing.
As an artist, you need to learn to take criticism with a grain of salt, no matter how "Negative" you perceive it to be, others see things that you might miss in your work, it might not be the sugar and rainbows that you want to hear but in the long run, you end up being better in the end.

I have to wonder... are they going to disqualify people for going over the character limits? Or adding text stories to their pictures?

Personally I was very careful to adhere to the guidelines, but some people do not seem to be doing so?

They might allow you to edit your entry if they find it over the character limit.
