So I was gone for the past 9 months after playing since Beta(like it matters). I just noticed that there are not a whole lot of people around anymore. So does anyone know how many people are playing this game now? Aegis (my new server transferred from Figaro) seems pretty dead compared to when I left. I also see that the Yellow Gremlin site(a major site supporting FFXIV info) is now gone too. Things crashing?

Ehm...no. We are saying that you might have been online during a weird time or in a weird place because right now the game has more players than ever and even lots and lots of people outside the game are going nuts over the fastly approaching 2.0 version of FFXIV

Okay, basically, we're getting rid of the old game by crashing the spare moon into it, and getting a new better game in its place.
They're doing it because the game sucks the way it is. We're getting a new engine, new world, new UI, and all sorts of nonsense.
