That would suck.. how can we change servers now? I don't wish to re-roll. I have 43 ppl in my linkshell and only 1 is on and he has been afk since yesterday.

We should be able to change servers again when 2.0 comes around, but until then there is no way to move.

9 months is quite a while and people come and go. You may need to get out and meet people who are playing now if your Linkshell has gone quiet.

Don't go panicking yet, like I said already, I don't play on Aegis so I don't know if that's the reason, it's just a possibility
Maybe people just went to bed early since it's Monday tomorrow and they will have to get up early for work?^^°

In case I was right though you can't do much about it right now because you can't change servers anymore at least until 2.0 hits this winter.

aegis has alot of people.and like people mention, most are out doing stuffs or achievement rather than just afk in town wasting time. we only got 2 month left before this version closes, and alot people have goals to do. hamlet, relics, behest, leveling, craft, gather, earn gil and more. I see people at almost everywhere i go be it na eu or jp timezone. But most populated will be the jp timezone where even ifrit extreme and such can have the " unable to proceed due to server congestion" messages =p if you been away that long, chances are you need slowly make new friends and mix around. and yea 2.0 in future will ahve more people and chance to transfer again if it be better for you. The game has changed alot in the past 9 months you been away, and it get more exciting as 2.0 draws closer =p.

So I was gone for the past 9 months after playing since Beta(like it matters). I just noticed that there are not a whole lot of people around anymore. So does anyone know how many people are playing this game now? Aegis (my new server transferred from Figaro) seems pretty dead compared to when I left. I also see that the Yellow Gremlin site(a major site supporting FFXIV info) is now gone too. Things crashing?

You need to catch up on the news. Figaro is nowhere near dead lol. At any rate, the servers are going down in about 2 months to make way for 2.0 (new engine, servers, etc.) Also, Yellow Gremlin (which supported more games than just FFXIV such as Conan, PWI, etc) sold their domain name to a Youth Group. If you want FFXIV info now, gamescape and mooglebox do the job nicely.


Nothing is crashing.
