Actually ... no. It seems a lot of people do not want it to be F2P.

No, actually, and in addition to that I obviously have more knowledge on the subject than you.
In pay to play games you are constantly dropping money on such things as:
Unlocking classes, exp potions, health potions, mp potions, content passes, character slots, good gear, inventory space, mounts, cosmetic items, and many other items that may or many not give you an edge over the other players.
Long story short, in so called "free" to play games you end up paying more unless you are the most casual of casual players, and that's why many people facetiously dub "Free to play," "Pay to win."
I realize that you are probably under 18 and it's hard for you to get your mom to cough up the $10.00 a month to pay for your bad habit, so I suggest collecting pop cans and maybe cutting your neighbors lawn. $10.00 really isn't hard to come up with once every 4 weeks lazy bones.
yeah... pay to win- err free to play has never been good in my book. I'd stick around for about a min to see how 14 did it, but if its anything like what i've seen before, I'd drop this game quick.
We'd go from paying $10 a month to $50 so you can buy +500% xp items, increase droprate items, gaudy-crap vanity pets and items, $5.99 for 7/7 weps on each primal, but if you get the super-saver-awesome discount its only $18 for all three!! /endrant... its no good mein.
Yes, because all black people steal things and all Muslims are terrorists.
And I have played a lot of F2P MMOs, there are a few bad eggs that are Pay to win, and they get a subsequently bad reputation because of it.
Generalizing isn't a healthy way to view the industry.
I know what you mean. With FFXIV: ARR it's like "A whole new world of adventure!"I know exactly what you mean about GW2, and I also have not been able to put to words why XIV is the better game. Thre's just something about this world, its attention to detail, that GW2 lacks entirely. It almost feels like XIV is presenting a face, an aesthetic, that truly gives you a feeling of being an adventurer in this world, whereas what GW2 presents is really just smoke and mirrors. Play for long enouh and you start seeing the seams.
I wish I could make people understand what I mean.
GW2 is like... "We made another one!!!"
"Anyone who doesn't like paying money monthly, can't afford it"No, actually, and in addition to that I obviously have more knowledge on the subject than you.

Fallacy ahoy!
I'm just clearly better at managing my finances than you. (see how that works)
Oh, I was also going off the fact that you're going around here calling people "retards." It wasn't only the financial evidence. And no, in lieu of the fact that free to play games are just a marketing scheme invented by games with low subscribers to get them to actually pay more, I don't see how anything you've said could suggest you're better at managing your finances than me. :P
I'd rather keep the subscription. As nice as free to play is, I don't want the only barrier between me and good gear to be the size of my wallet.
I called you a retard, because you used the generalization that all free to play games are pay to win.Oh, I was also going off the fact that you're going around here calling people "retards." This shows a general lack of understanding in the field and general ignorance.
And yeah, GW2 really has low subs.
You're the only one who looks ignorant here, and that's why almost everyone disagrees with you. To anyone with common sense it's obvious that you end up paying more for "free to play" games. Regardless, it's a moot point. It's already been stated in an interview that they won't be using this cheap marketing scheme.
And yeah, GW2 really has low subs.Reading comprehension ftw. Also, please remove your giant signature that takes up like half of the thread, thank you.Oh, I was also going off the fact that you're going around here calling people "retards."
