Do we have an exact date on when the alpha starts for NA and EU players? I know JP players get to go first.

All we know is fall this year (or Autumn if you speak proper English)

Wonder if they will have the same selection blunders as last time, I remember applying for the 1.xx beta on my old laptop, putting my old laptop specs in (no chance of running the game) and I got accepted, had to rush out to get a new one lol.

When you custom build your computer, you can run ANYTHING... (I custom build computers for people around my neighborhood for a hobby *Even though I get paid over 500g just for building them*)

As for selections, might be based on how your comp can meet the specs to run the game (And if you're a currently active player)

Hehe I want to custom build one, but I don't have the money right now, as soon as I do imma build a top of the range PC and see ARR in all its glory.

*Sometimes* you don't need money to custom build one (All of my parts were won from contests! xD) all except a fancy case with rainbow LED effects that cost like... 1k.

UGH why didnt SE put in a scanner for system reqs??!?!?!?!? now ppl with the worst systems ever are going to lie and put they have the best processor/ram/gpu in the world EWWW. Well i hope i get accepted just wanted to throw that in there!

The point of Beta,Alpha is to test on low end pc they know that anyone playing ffxiv on med/high setting ffxiv 1.0 could play ffxiv 2.0 on pretty much full setting.

Not like they only want to test things for high end computers. They'll need folks on the low end as well. Probably more so to be honest. There aren't that many people with super high end custom built gaming rigs. The majority of people are just using mid level Best Buy rigs.

Man, I thought 25 Mbps would be good enough. Well, guess I can always try moving to the part of town that's getting 1 gbps installed. :/
