You can still get your GC chocobo. You just don't get your goobue or special chocobo. They've also advertised this for almost half a year.

oh look..here we go again. This isn't fail marketing. They are rewarding the players that actually stuck by them throughout the bad period of the game. You can still get a chocobo mount, but it won't be the one that I'll be getting.

Why should they reward new players? they did not stay and pay for a bad game for over 1 8+months this is marketing for playing who stay with the game not for new players lol.

I wouldn't really say 'bad' game perse, just that us the players that stuck with the company and helped with feedback and support to 'upgrade' the game to it's 2.0 remake.

Legacy Chocobo just has black tips and a new armor, its just as fast as the regular and grand company chocobo.

You don't get those things for coming back now, you get them for supporting the new team and paying a sub while the game is in less than ideal shape, you will never be able to get that chocobo again! {That's too bad.}

Yes. You choosing not to join until now was clearly SE's fail, despite them announcing the way the legacy program worked months ago.
