I think I might be a bit confused... the "final save" happens on November 1st. Servers go offline Nov 11th. So we can play between those dates, but nothing will be saved or count? Well, why bother then?

Also, they can bring the game back up, but it will still be in the aforementioned "nothing you do is actually saved" until 2.0 launches? And a poster above me said that might be March? Does this mean no subscription fees between Nov 1st and 2.0 launch? Why would anyone pay for the service between then if nothing done is even saved?

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, though.
We're guessing they are holding the final world event for that timeframe from Nov. 1st to the 11th. They likely want people focused on that, rather than things like leveling, AV/CC runs, etc. They want people to experience the finale.

As for the free service period, it did sound to me like come october that month will be free. and obviously they wont keep charging if there is not a game online to play.
