A lot were hoping it was sooner, since we know that we'll be getting ARR that much sooner.

Well. I'm thinking that would be bad. Most of you would get pissed when all your shiny toys are taken away and you'd lose some of your respect for the game. LOL

Im sure SE could make it clear that anything obtained during that time doesnt stay.
Hell, 1/2 the players already know that anything between Nov 1 - 11 wont matter

After November 1st, nothing people do will matter and the literal end of the (FFXIV) world is coming. I wonder how people will behave.

People will probably sell their awesome gear just for the hell of it, or those who didn't dare before will try to see just how difficult a triple-meld is.

Yeah, I'm still working on that 20 leves at every camp achievement. If I have until November, I'll definitely get it down. I was worried before though that I didn't have time.

Question... Yoshi-P mentioned that they would make a poll to keep the current servers up... but with no further save progress etc. Is this for for a few "days" or are they planning to keep them up "forever" depste no future saving?

They're probably going to be using the same hardware for 2.0 and even if they don't I doubt we'd see them both running simultaneously.

Most likely, if enough people want it, it will run for the duration of the alpha and beta before shutting down shortly before the launch of 2.0
