I get what you mean, i want it for the same basic reasons , just my personal preferance is the effeminate looking types.. not acting or talking with a creepy lisp like that guy dancer from the Wotg XD;It's not that I have a ~problem~ with yaoi or cat boys, it's the attitude. The reason most people stay away from the idea of manthra is because of the ~*LOLOL ANIME FANGURLZ*~ who pretty much just want to fetish...ize them/ make them make out with each other.
The reason I want the missing genders is equality and to play something that suits my personality better, not so I can stare at my model for hours and write terrible slash fan fiction about him.
When I picture the missing genders I really don't see male miqote being catboys, but bigger muscular feral big cat lloking tyhpes. I saw the concept art of course, just saying what I pictured. Female roeg's I picture as smaller, thin yet muscular beautiful colorful women with braided hair (sea faring women) and I picture female highlanders looking like robust fantasy viking women type, not necessarily huge but thicker muscular women
See I always thought the female Roegadyn would be the thicker, maybe slightly muscular type while the Highland Hyur would be more athletic. We'll never know until we see them though lol.
I can't stand that. It's perfectly fine for male players to get their cat girl (because that's not associated with hentai at all *cough*) and roleplay a lesbian sex kitten, but when it comes to female players wanting a cute male character to play you get the "LOL Yaoi manthra" type comments. I just can't stand the fact that they have a race that's pure fan service for male players and they go and gender lock it as if female players don't exist. One of the reasons I quit a while back was seeing so many Miqo'te everywhere (I originally played one myself). If there was a male I really think it would offset the ridiculous amount of female Miqo'te.It's not that I have a ~problem~ with yaoi or cat boys, it's the attitude. The land's alive, so believe.
So I'm assuming you like to cough up hairballs and piss everywhere then?
Seriously, just let the ladies have their cake. I'd be lying if I said I didn't pick my current elezen lady 'cause she's a hotty.
...Of course were the option open to be a male miqo'te and assuming they resembled the concept art, I'd jump at the chance to be one.
I meant a more masculine persona... but okay. >_>

Completely agreed. I really hate this imbalance and unfairness. If males can have their fan service race, I want women to have theirs.
... Just not in the creepy yaoi fangirlish way.
