    Technically you won, but because you all died before opening the chest you're unable to claim the rewards from it. This has happened before to others. All you can do it take your rage out on him again for robbing you of that precious dark matter. Remember, even if he's going to die. Stay focused on surviving until you're certain all cases of impending death are gone. It helps keep everyone from tasting delicious ashy dirt.
