If anyone can get hold of Connect!On October edition should have lots of new info we haven't heard of yet from reading one of the JP players post. Token system where you get tokens and be able to get similar gear to the ones that rare drop in that dungeon but with little bit lower stats is only info he really posted, can't confirm if it's true or not until we check the real article from that magazine.

It sounds like the raid gear system. Use tokens to buy the ilvl100 gear, and get item drops from dungeons that can upgrade it to ilvl110. This was the case with the Normal/Hard mode setup which Yoshida said he is also bringing to 2.0.

Some info from 2ch - might be fake but supposedly from the Connect!On October issue.

・もともとの蛮神戦スケジュールはイフリートのあとにタイタン、そのあとネールが襲来する前にリヴァイアサンの予定だった
Actual primal schedule was Titan after Ifrit and before Neil Van Darnus was planning Leviathan.

・タイタンは英雄カンパニーのメンバーがタイタンを追い詰めるも全滅。そこに冒険者が駆けつけて先頭になる流れの予定だった
For Titan the plan was to have heroic company members were going after Titan but wipes and then adventures were coming in front to help.

・リヴァイアサンは船の上でバトルするという展開企画が上がっていたが、東日本大震災でタイタン・リヴァイアサンは凍結された。新生ではもちろん登場予定で、時期を見て公開される
For Leviathan the plan was to battle on top of the ship but due to the major disaster in Japan (3/11) both Titan and Leviathan was stopped. Planning to have them both come out in 2.0, will announce looking at the timing.

Also I see posts about smart phone application but no details on what it's for yet, might have some more info (still reading through the 2ch lol)

Same. Don't know if their technology would support this, but the first part of the final battle in FFXIII-2 was a really awesome battle environment [spoiler]Fighting Caius on a fast moving airship.[/spoiler] on the first part here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ro5K0cmqIA.

Maybe it is for the better that Leviathan came to 2.0 instead, I am sure they can make a really cool battle environment for him than what 1.xx could.

XIV uses the same engine as XIII and XIII-2, it's supported -- the issue though, they likely would have waited till a bit after the disaster passes and it's not seen as 'too soon' and due to the revamp it's likely going to be able to flesh it out more, since as of now we haven't seen the exact gameplay elements of ARR to see if what was possible before will no longer be possible or end up being better.

Yeah that's the one, I would just wait a bit more before buying though since other media's might start releasing same info. Right now getting anything from Japan too damn expensive due to the exchange rate... orz

Well, as long as the shipping doesn't put me over $20, I don't mind. I'll swing by Barnes and Noble after work now that I have the ISBN and and Catalogue # to see if they can get it.
