You are right, they didn't.
I can't find where it was posted, but for Dated Items, they are still thinking about it. It's not as simple as saying "let's wipe them all". What about players who stopped playing early? They would reconnect in 2.0 with no equipment at all? (And then rage-quit again since they they lost almost everything..)
The only thing that is confirmed is that Dated RECIPES will be removed.
