Yeesh, come on, people. You're actually complaining that there's been a ton of interviews lately simply because it's not providing YOU with new info?

The majority of recent interviews aren't really for YOU or anyone else on these forums. That'd be preaching to the already-converted. The "flood" going on right now is dispersing through every outlet to reach all the non-believers. The uninitiated. The ones that wrote FFXIV off as a dead game. The people this game needs to survive after 2.0 hits.

Still seeing more sleeping dogs ads and emails then XIV stuff. Would like to see XIV get the same treatment. Even on the SE members page the game seems to be hidden, there should at least be a link to the Realm reborn site.

Well E-mails will probably start coming when they have a firm Release date for FFXIV: ARR .

See I disagree here. Don't get me wrong the footage got me hype and I can't wait for alpha/beta, but at the same time the fact they didn't release anything official at all and the lodestone has been so quiet (to me) shows a lack of willing on their part to actually promote the game.

Now I hate it when people pull out the Guild Wars 2 card (and this is the first and last time I will, I promise) but look up info from that game and there are literally dozens and dozens of video interviews, hundreds of hours of in-game footage all released within the past 2 weeks.

I know GW2 is basically a finished product and obviously they'd be much more confident in showing off content compared to SE at this moment in time, but it's still regrettable how hush they have been, especially considering how they hyped us all up after E3 promising goodies "all summer long" and all that jazz.

That bolded part, is exactly how I feel, and have felt for a VERY long time ... Being strung along, but yet again. But they have our $9.99/mo in their bank, don't they?

I'm not trying to start any trouble and I am an avid player and supporter of this game's success...That being said, I believe SE is really setting themselves up for failure with the vague little spurts of information. They have been self-proclaiming to have become way more transparent with their fanbase...Yet I do not see that being upheld (as we still have little information on gameplay, content, etc). Basically, I feel like I am re-living 1.0 launch where we all are left to our imaginations to expect something brilliant and then arrive to something subpar. Not saying this WILL happen, but it is a tactic that could really enrage the fanbase if they are not satisfied.

Idk I think we're underestimating the amount of info we have gotten. I think if you go back and start nitpicking, we've learned quite a bit.

1) Limit Breaks

2) More details on alpha/beta

3) New interface

4) More mounts (Magitek!!)

5) Stuffz about Crystal Tower and PvP

6) New TP mechanics

7) Golden Saucer

8) Gameplay videos (another due in a week or two)

9) Cross-server content finder goodies

10) Art for Odin, Ramuh, and Leviathan

11) More info on Chocobo Raising

12) No more blinking!

13) Jumping mechanics

14) Beginner questing information

15) Low-level dungeon content

16) etc etc etc.


Seriously if you make a list of crap its quite a bit. Its like they have to give every detail of the game away (who does that anyway) in order for ppl to be satisfied.

But a lot of the things you have listed have only been mentioned, they haven't actually given us any detailed information.

It's just you ok. There may have been a small flood, but that only took away my car ok. I want tha big flood to take away my house with my wife who is inside.

The fact that you have to ask "is it me or am i feeling a flood?" means that the flood was quite small.

If it was a real flood, it would be BAM nobody would question it, you'd just know you were smacked with a wall of water in your face.
