Does anyone know if they said the new job is going to be @ the 2.0 release or later around the ps3 release? I'd sure like to have a new class/job to level with the new launch. That would take the excitement level up to 11. It would be kind of like September 2010 killing fungars all over again. /joy

Arcanist and Summoner were on there about a week ago, but were promptly taken off.

As for when it will be available... who knows? The fact that they made a page specifically for summoner (and it's presumable arcanist counterpart) this early, and the foofara about it's accidental leak suggests to me that they were hoping for a big reveal for ARR, probably at the final fantasy 25th anniversary event.

Also, given how a fair amount of players have every DoW/M to 50 already I could see the drive to have a brand new class available for the 2.0 launch.

Course, Yoshi-p has said in recent interviews that there are no plans for a new job/class to be released right at the beginning of ARR... but he could be trying to set up a red herring.

I'm afraid we'll just have to wait til more definitive information becomes available, if we want certainty. Though the speculation is fun...

Except I believe he used the qualifier "at least" in the specific interview I'm thinking of, so his statements really don't disprove anything. As usual, he did a fine job of making his comments so vague we wouldn't be able to get any real info from it.
