Would like this very much! Though I don't care for Spriggans very much... Maybe we can find something cuter for miners.
But yes, some extra defense besides being half invisible and walking slow would be nice. Heck, pets in general are nice. I'd love to have a pet mandragora living in my FFXIV house when housing comes out. :B As well as a ram. Two cutest mobs ever.

Although this idea need some tinkering like adapting pets depending on how your raise them and the fact that the idea for these little critters was originally concieved at a time when DoL didn't have stealth to avoid enemy encounter. All I know is it has so much support the devs better make it happen lol

also had a thought: moogles are already pretty involved with the Botanist, maybe its the moogles that find you a companion? You prove your worth to them and they charm you up a companion!
