Market Wards Population Fix?

Correct me if I'm wrong, as it's been a while since I've played, but weren't Bastok, Windy, Sandy, Jeuno/Whitegate, Kazham/Norg AH's all separate. Yet people still sold stuff in each of the AH's as there was a reason to be in all the towns. As I see it here, as well as a lot of people it seems, is that there is no real reason to be anywhere else bu Ul'dah as that's where the main story quest takes you. Granted everyone ended up in Jeuno, which is why it had more stuff in it's AH compared to the rest, but did they ever truly need to be linked? Oh sure it would have been easier to find the cheapest Silent Oils/Prism Powders or Sole Sushi but would you truly have wanted it to be like that? If SE wants to fix the emptiness of Limsa and Grids Market Wards they need to give people a reason to be in these two towns besides spending Guild Marks and getting Guild Support. Linking them to one specific zone is not the answer.

I think they did eventually link Bastok, San d'Oria and Windurst because people weren't selling much in them at all.
I feel that if people are going to be in Limsa and Gridania, the wards should be linked somehow. There have already been many people giving up and moving to Ul'dah even if they don't really want to be there.

I think some people are forgetting that we don't have an auction house, and that this thread is about ideas to fix the current market wards population issues. Please stay on topic.

Guys when you make a suggestion instead of thinking about the short term quick fix, think of the ong term effects. Currently ffzxiv is acting like a 9 year old game. People are in Ul'dah due to the "better levequests" and the story takes ppl there. so ppl are going there since its popular. We do need some form of global system so we never run into the issue of the home nations running out of stuff in the markets.

Also don;t always assume ppl are going to level up the craft classes. I might only level fishing and maybe cooking. So don't give the "if ppl really need it they can craft it". No one wants to be forced to craft because gear is not being sold where they are at. Nor should buying gear be hard. Its not like its uber leet gear from rare mobs.
