XI was nothing like older FF's. And I think they convey the 'FF' feeling pretty well with XIV currently. What exactly isn't 'FF' enough for you?Funny how everyone says FF fans cry so much about how this game deviates from core FF...but let blizzard put out another WoW game that has nothing similar to its behemoth and we'll see who'll be carrying pitchforks and torches...
Its not asking much to have XIV feel like XI...or carry on some similar tradition from previous FF games...heaven forbid.

Hey is it time to link this video again
Even if you subtract the 1.0 lag factor, certain tasks such as mass-selling is still idiotically slow via a menu-based interface.
It doesnt look bad, just XI is better to search for items, etc. On crafting for example, i mostly search for the items names and add it to the craft menu. On the new system i'll have to look at all the (for example ) Logs to find the Oak for my crafts, and if Retainers menu are the same, i'll have alot of icons to search for it instead of just search their names...
I don't care that much about what a menu looks like. As long as its easy to navigate and find what I need.
On XI it wasnt slow at all, All it sucks right now its the lag seriously. XI had no problems and i quickly could put stuff to sell at the Auction House or even Mog House.
As long as it is easily controller selectable I'm happy. Right now it doesn't look like it will be with the block style. But it has to be for PS3 so we will see. Just macro everything anyway.
