Well, maybe per that article and what I said in another thread could really happen, Atomos appearing at various camps disrupts the aether flow, as they begin to draw towards the 'end of the world' segement of the game, certain nodes will start to shut down as their aether flow is disrupted completely, then camps themselves start to fall. They could technically leave the achievement for reaching the node points active, as a 'ghost' image aether just to signify that the aether had at one point been there, while the actual energy is gone, any leves associated with the nodes are also disrupted for the time being.
Or..Atomos randomly appearing and killing could work too. But if you remain completely still while Atomos and the mobs are there, they dont aggro you. So if the RMT just stood very, very still until Atomos depopped..
Sod that, have him spawn in cities! besieged 2.0 :P
You need to be in actual walk mode (hit X) to not attract sound aggro mobs which I don't see RMT doing -- you can be standing still and sound mobs pop next to you and will immediately aggro -- since they fixed a bug with it we know it was always kind of a glitchy detection/evasion mechanic lol.
The imps aggro sight their vision is rly short and narrow tho. I walked in front of one a few times it aggro every time.
When I first saw this, I was like "Oh no, cedarwood used to be great, then they added all the aggroing birds; not Atomos too..." but truthfully? I am totally okay with never going near Cedarwood ever again if it means the merciless slaughter of all the RMT there. Same for Bloodshore and Skull Valley.
Poor RMT what have they ever done to you. I think we should have Atomos poping at all camps, and possibly (just with no mobs) in the cities, perhaps moving around cities and NPCs running around screaming.
In the city too o//
