Why I thought you were claiming to be a programmer: Because you made references to reading/writing code and interpreting languages. I'm not sure if English is your first language, but you could stand to organize yourself. It gets in the way of the point that you are trying to make.

Though your writing might be understandable to you, you should double check it to make sure that you're not jumping around. Your very... devious... writing style seems to be the source of a lot of the confused responses that your initial post elicited.

Well, I don't see how your other questions relate to what I said, I guess you were trying to appeal to me in some manner for some point that you're trying to make that I don't see... but I'll indulge your questions for the hell of it, just because I'm not sure if you were attempting to use rhetoric or if you were seriously curious, and not satiating curiosity within a reasonable limit is rude.

Am I returning ffxi fan who desires to experience the fun again: I never played 11 or any MMO, really, before this one.

I really don't understand the whole "ffxi was this, so ffxiv must be like xi" expectations. I'm sure many of my opinions are not viewed favorably by the returning ffxi players, but the way I see it is: though the game is an FF title, it shouldn't be a clone. I am sure there are very nice features that make xi stand out, and they should be given a nod at least. However, recycling content and core gameplay elements is a stupid move, and ruins the ability of ffxiv to stand as its own title. I think a lot of people remember ffxi in a very pleasant light, and while that's great, this game is a Final Fantasy title. It's not ffxi-2.

Why do I pay, or why do I play? I pay to play, and I played for my amusement. I like gear, I like winning, but I also enjoy playing with fun people. I'm just a bored individual who got sucked into what seems to be the wrong game at the wrong time with the wrong people.

Now, To address your original post. I'm going to write it out the way that I'm understanding it so that you know where I am coming from as far as my response goes. I've never been good with words.

This method takes work but if you follow my instructions you will see that It is quite some work, but the use of your character without the lack of help if you are solo for a while in the game. I do believe this can be done in Parties as well so I will name this the Bastok_iamtheone Sub-job Method
Sun Bastok Once Said: "So. I was exploring the UI and was wondering if I could use cross-class abilities -- without using a job crystal. I tested this out as a Gladiator and managed to do a quest (leve?) that was 5 levels higher than my own. This is a great feature, though it's a little tedious to do... it will help you out as a solo player. I think that you can also take advantage of this feature if you are in a party."

First you will need to level your character to Lv 30 to unlock the other jobs you can do. Or just get another War weapon or Magic weapon, or Hand weapon "Testing as of now" dont do this until Lv 30, its not recommended as it may or will work but Lv 30 will work. Then decide what you want to level your next Job. Go out and fight about Lv 5. That should be easy but only for some Jobs in Lv 1. Okay when your ready pick up your lv 10 Job and goto the camp that has the right Levequest. This is not recommended for begginners as you need to know your gear very well. I was only a lv 10 and had Def as 80, but with this method with CNJ/GLD I had defense to 125. With my method, Jesus its hard to believe that defense can go that high. Thats 35 points of defense points. Okay make sure you have the greatest Armor, rings, assesories, gloves, hats, attire, pants, shoes, ETc... That you can find! Thats the hard part as I will try to get a list together that works best as this method is redefined. I found it accidentally as i was doing a video for Facebook. As far as I know this works for CNJ Lv 30/GLD Lv 10.
"You can do this on any quest (leve?). You need to level your character up to unlock the other jobs (or equip a new weapon). Once you've unlocked those jobs, you can pick the second job you want to level up. As for the second job... level it up from level 1 using level 5 leves. Get it to level 10. To pull this off, you're gonna need some decent gear."

Its not needed unless you have some really tough enemies like 5-8 lvs higher than you. Okay according to Square-Enix it say that changing class on the Levequest does damage to your experience. Thats just a warning, it doesn't do anything. allright now I got 300+ xp on any enemy I could hit and kill at this rate. If you have defense spells use them as this helps on a timer. Once you go back to your original job your training for. The timer does not change!! You still have your affects. Wow this could work some miracles here, lol on some Spells and tricks. Kinda like having Materia that doesnt cost. oops,

The Video on Bastok_Iamtheone Sub-job Method will be ready in about 1Hr. until then
    Happy Gaming
    Please tell everyone. Thank you

Ok. Here's where what you're saying is getting really confusing. That might just be the wine talking though, .

"You can just run on through these leves without resting, unless there is a significant level difference (~5-8) between you and the enemies that you are engaging. SE says that if you change class, then you lose EXP bonus on the leve. It doesn't do anything, and I am getting decent EXP. Cast some defense spells and blah blah blah."

If I am understanding you correctly, you're basically saying that you're using cross-class abilities and have it mistaken for a bug/exploit. I think you're a little confused because you're probably a new player and not used to the armoury system.

First and foremost, there are differences between classes and jobs.
Classes don't have job stones equipped.
Classes: Archer, Pugilist, Lancer, Gladiator, Marauder, Conjurer, Thaumaturge

Classes are able to equip and use any abilities that they want from other classes, as long as the ability is able to be equipped.

For example: An Archer can equip Archer skills, plus skills from any other class that allows it. The pool contains all other classes.

So... if I were to go ARC, I could equip Keen Flurry (Lancer), Sentinel (Gladiator), Taunt (Pugilist), Cure (Conjurer), and Raise (Conjurer), and cast them as my timers allow it. However, I could not equip something like Curaga, since that is only usable by Conjurer and White Mage.

    Classes do not have sub-classes.

    Jobs: ARC-> Bard, PGL-> Monk, LNC-> Dragoon, GLA-> Paladin, MRD-> Warrior, CON-> White Mage, THM-> Black Mage
Jobs do have job stones equipped.

Equipping a job has a bit of a tradeoff. You reduce the amount of classes you can pick from for some new abilities and stat changes. Jobs are less jack-of-all trades, and more role specific.

So, if I were on my Archer and equipped my job stone so that I could be a Bard, my skill pool is reduced. Bard's sub-classes are Conjurer and Thaumaturge, so I would not be able to use Keen Flurry or Taunt, since those are not Con/Thm skills. (I still can't cast Curaga, though :P)

You seem to think that classes are jobs, when they're not. A gladiator is a class. Paladin is a job. Gladiator can prance around, casting fire all damn day long. PLD can't do that.

If you switch jobs with buffs on, then you won't lose the buffs you have on.

If you use an ability from another class... like using cure as a gladiator, then you're still a gladiator.

This really isn't new. This isn't an exploit, you just don't understand how the armoury system works, and that's fine... but don't go on the official forums claiming that you found a hack/exploit. That's a great way to get banned.

    P.S. YEAH! SUMMONS!
