I've completed building my ark, herded my animals too, but where is the Flood?

I love how some peoplee are like "GAMESCOM IS HERE!!" like, the day after and they eexpect the floodd happen all in one glump, this isn't a "rreal" flood.. Its cool, ive kidnapped a few lalafell i plan on using as a floatation device and food rations.

No one really likes to go hunt around online for the interviews. I have tons of people sending me PM's (on the other websites I am on) asking me where I am finding all these FFXIV articles. None of them hardly ever visit this forum let alone know it exists. On top of that I highly doubt they all want to read through countless threads to find these links.

SE needs to update their official website with links to the interviews, videos, etc. That is what people are expecting in regards to the "flood" I believe. Hopefully they will update it after Gamescom is over, that would be fine. Somehow though I highly doubt they will link all the articles and such...SE has gotten really out of touch with marketing over the past few years. I've said time and time again, the last game they marketed properly was FF7.

I understand being cautious but this isn't the best way to go about it -- even when they were demoing off FFXI in 2000/2001 they released technical videos and even tidbits after FFIX (Playonline) then later went full on advertising in 2002 -- Yes XIV 1.0 had a terrible launch in many ways (but stable) it's obvious they've put a lot of work into ARR and should show it off.

I can personally understand how YoshiP feels but given everything we've heard from SE, i.e (All Summer Long, Flood of Info etc) I think I've seen more 'flood' come from this summer shower that barely hit the ground than I did actual information out of one of the best grounds to get your MMORPG out there -- they need to step it up on all fronts. XIV is indeed getting recognized, but even compared to the last time XIV was at Gamescom, it's lacking behind due to caution.

I agree 100%, I think SE is too cautious. Maybe there's a good reason for this, maybe the zone they showed us is the only one that's finished? Maybe they're behind schedule?

As I've said over and over, as we get closer to the end of they year, I expect a 45 minute stream of gameplay. GW2 did it, why not FFXIV ARR? Is it because there's not enough content? If that's the case, then we have a bigger problem.

I think we need a 90 minute stream actually, like The Secret World did. Let's convince all those PS3 players who have never bought the game before. They don't want to be fooled buying something that doesn't have enough content.

I swear you guys. It's like SE has a giant barrel full of water (info) and people keep shooting holes in it going "WHERE'S THE FLOOD HURRR DURRR." And every time someone shoots a new hole people are like "HURR WHERE'S THE FLOOD" and then people are going to realize that the barrel is now empty.
