The contest specifications state that we can use "image editing software" and "graphics software". Does that include 3D software as well? Is it ok to submit an animated .gif of a 3D mesh?

It would be greatly appreciated if one of you could specify a little further.

As long as it follows the indicated format, 3d art and animated .gifs are ok. ^^

Is there any info you can tell us on how these rings will be implemented? I believe this information to be moderately vital in the ring design.

It looks like the animated .gif was a stupid idea - The limited color table of .gifs just isn't enough to create decent gradients in a 1024x1024 image and the file size gets way too big as well. But I'll definitely submit a still image of something 3D!

What about the ring stats? Any indication as to the limitations? Will creating something OP immediately take you out of the running or will the devs just scale it down appropriately and judge the idea?

Entered mine already and very excited to see what others come up with. I hope they post all entries just to be seen for recognition sake.

For those that are worried about making it too detailed, remember it will have a picture also with the item description, this means your detail can be seen. If the Devs need to change it a bit to make it work, so what as long as they pick yours ^^

I found the hardest part wasnt the design, but figuring out what my ring's stats were going to be.... that took twice as long as the designing.

Mmmm I have some question about the contest:

1)How many rings you can send? Ok it's write only one on e-mail,but can I send more mail?Or a single file with multiple projects?

Or is it just allowed to send one e-mail with a file that contains just one ring?
