Confirmed. No streaming and no official release gameplay footage because they're still in pre-alpha, and scared something might go wrong and basically, they don't feel it's ready to be shown to the masses yet.

They don't want people to pre-judge, and then have to endure massive embarassment from the Western media again. This is less about marketing, and more about saving face. Cannot lose face a second time. Even he said he's freaking out.

Well, at this point when the game is about to Launch its beta then Launch.. and with the game being broken to most eyes, I wouldn't blame him for freaking out. He just wants the game to succeed like all of us do!

Which is perfectly fine, but they shouldn't lead people on like they do. Pretty much everyone expected official gameplay videos from Gamescom. Once again, they show their lack of communication skills.

Yeah, but the truth of it is; I showed the cam video of game play to 5 people I play XIV with IRL... every single response was positive.

Yeah people know the Graphics are going to be top notch, so the Quality of the Video doesn't really matter, as long as it shows how fast the UI is, Battle system ( Non-Graphical stuff), You will expect positive or Negative reviews Good Quality Videos or not.

I agree 100%. Almost everyone here, including me and some of my friends, were expecting gameplay videos from Gamescom to be released and even to be put on the website.
