[Suggestion] replaying storyline quests and playing the questline from other cities

This suggestion is twofold:

1: I would allow players to replay main scenario quests once they have done them. The cutscenes are nice, and many (me included) can be interested in giving them another look after they are done with them.
After a main scenario quest is completed once, it should be repeatable, but it shouldn't offer any more rewards at the end. So the repetition should be available just for the fun of it.

2: After they completed the main scenario quests for their cities, player should be able to pay a certain fee to change citizenship to another city. That should open to them the possibility to restart the main questline, playing it from the point of view of their new city.
I understand there might be storyline discrepancies, but I think it would be beneficial, since the game, at the moment, doesn't have very many quests. It would add quite a few new and enjoyable ones with the expense of very little development resources.

2) Agree. Being able to swap and see the different city questlines would be awesome. That was something I liked about XI. Mostly because I generally dislike getting locked out of story content in a story-heavy game.

Though, the storyline appears to be far from complete thus far, so that might be something they'll add in the future.

Unfortunately the game is based on the premise that if someone wants to play DOH/DOL mainly/exclusively he still isn't locked out of the story.

I personally agree with that premise by the way. But don't worry, as you gain levels you'll see that the quest will gain much more epic proportions, if not in difficulty, at the very least in content. The latest story quest I played (rank 38) was REALLY epic, with the appearence of a old, big friend

More than anything else I would really, really, love a past cutscene viewer NPC. I don't mind waiting for it either so long as I know it's coming down the road.

Right now I've taken to recording the cutscenes just so I can re-watch them, and god forbid I botch a recording, there will be no way to view that cutscene again save leveling a brand new character. I've even created a few alts for the sole purpose of recording the other nation's cutscenes.

I fully support this, to make do I frapped all cutscenes in 1080p for my personal use, but in XI you had bards you could visit to review cutscenes and I'd really like this.

Wouldn't it be kind of tough to allow you to go back and do the main story quests from other cities though? It would clash with what you had already done. How would that work?

I didn't get to play FFxiv because I had started playing right when I had the money to build myself a new PC and wanted something that would test the limits, and when it released I didn't have a way to pay for the game monthly (22 now)

Handwaving and relying on the player to not care that he or she is technically stepping back in time because it was the player that actively and knowingly initiated the change. Kind of like "you knew what you were doing, so don't blame us if something doesn't make as much sense as you want it to."

Yea, that's kind of what they had to do in FFXI. They pretty much covered it by saying they would have to wipe your character's memory if you wanted to change allegiances.

A cs viewer could be added into the menu , i would be more for this rather than the golbin footprint system they used in ff11.
